Vertigo Music's vision is social, and loud. We went with a visual identity to match. The illustrative style we created was made for animation and accessibility across a variety of mobile screens. The color palette is wide to create a vibrant social scene.
SONG STORY CONTESTS
Daily contests are held encouraging users to upload video content to clips of popular music with the chance of winning a variety of prizes.
because of the sheer volume of contests happening, I created a template system designed to attract attention, while housing any artist's photography. The system both unifies a variety of styles, and also draws attention to support participation.
We also designed a badge system for contest winners using our signature illustrative style.
While a standard contest only awards 1st, 2nd and 3rd place badges, certain contests also for a live judge to award a victory badge, as well as random victory badges to a select few just for participating.
In addition to the tribe contests, we created tribe profile pages where members can chat, share, and keep track of their collective victories / losses.
TRIBE VS. TRIBE CONTESTS
Upon launching the Song Story Contests, it became immediately apparent that fan-factions were developing to support certain artists. To encourage this social behavior, we created Tribe vs. Tribe competitions that pitted artist fan-bases against each other in order to achieve tribe victories.
Permanent Instagram Stories where created in order to keep users up-to-date with current Song Story Contests, as well as other relevant informations and news.
Because of the new contests and curated playlists being released regularly, we made a template for Instagram posts announcing the latest content.
